Success Story – Fabio Lucano

Tyndale has had countless students succeed in their tertiary studies and find long-term jobs post-school, including old scholar Fabio Lucano, who has an impressive resume following his education at Tyndale.

Fabio completed Year 12 at Tyndale in 2009, and works at Aon, a global professional services firm that sells a range of financial risk-mitigation products. The company hosts 50,000 employees across 120 countries and is a notably large business.

Fabio said one of his teachers helped him get his first job outside of Tyndale, before he made the switch to Aon.

“Mrs. Daniels actually scored me my first job after Year 12”, Fabio said.

“I was a HR Administrator at BAE Systems for three years. From there I tried Uni which didn’t work out, then following a recommendation from my little sister a few years later, I moved to Aon for a career in commercial insurance broking. Five years later, I’m still at Aon.”

While the subjects he did helped sharpen his credentials, it was the support and guidance he received at Tyndale that really stood out to Fabio, and he said it was a bonus to be able to give back to the school years later.

“Working here, I was even lucky enough to have my own high school as a client”, said Fabio.

“Being in financial services, numbers are central to my game. I need to know how to analyse numbers and report on these back to clients in a way they can not only understand, but that helps them make decisions for their business.”

“I think Tyndale played a part in helping me see my potential simply by being a supportive environment. I wasn’t just told, ‘you can do it’, I was told ‘you’d be good at it’.”
